[Vivian] Lovely Day « Thread Started on Sept 14, 2008, 2:27pm »
Blair woke up with a small groan as his alarm clock began to beep ever so loudly. He rolled over slowly and pressed the button to stop it from beeping anymore. He sighed and laid there for a minute wondering about the night he had before. He had slowly seduced a woman… It wasn’t quite that slow though because before the night hit nine he had been in bed with her. However after that he had went back to the school. He had met the woman in a pub and there he had flirted. She didn’t know him and he didn’t know her. It was a simple one-night stand. He knew that she knew that and so it was a simple no strings attached. She hadn’t known that he was a guy who actually didn’t smile or flirt in front of other except those who were his closest friends, Vivian, Desi, Deo and secretly Chase. No one in is group of legacies knew he was friends with a Nouveau. Okay he hadn’t really hidden anything but everytime he met up with Chase it was usually by accident, and slowly they had become friends.
However Blair had avoided Chase when he saw the difference on Deo one day and he got to the bottom of it.. His main source had been Kelly. It was easy to get the answer from her because she had been trying to seduce him from the very beginning they met. They had just recently met, the only ones he had met before was Deo, Vivian and Desi and that was at a party a long time ago. The trio, however befriended him, and he had accepted them without a second thought. They were like no other and he admired them. He slowly loved them as his own siblings… he never had any so his heart adopted them without question. He slowly had gotten Kelly to talk about what happened and Kelly had told him. Blair had choked on his drink when Kelly had gotten to the boyfriend part. He had never of Deo talking about any relationship status, so Blair guessed it was only to deceive.
“ Bloody hell, what am I to do?” he asked himself slowly sitting up. He got out of bed and took a quick shower. His thought drifted towards his friend Chase… although they weren’t friends for that long, he kind of trusted the guy. Unlike some of the Legacies he really didn’t care much about status nor did he really care if he was seen with one. He finished his shower and got out, dried himself and put some clothes on. Black pants and a thin but loose white long sleeve shirt. He wasn’t much for muscle shirt, and no really knew if he was fat or thin… only those who hugs him really knew if he was fat. He was lean, muscled and fairly tall at about 6’2 or so but he hid his figure well beneath the suit and baggy clothes. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. Brushing his hair with his hand, he got his notebook and a pen and headed out towards the cafeteria.
He didn’t see any of the Legacies so he didn’t have anyone to hang out with for a while. However some of the Nouveaus were already awake, some of the girls shyly smiled at him, which he only returned with a nod of his head. He took one muffin and an apple for his breakfast and headed straight for the courtyard. He looked up and saw that the clouds above him were quite dark. He guessed that in about a few minutes it was going to rain, not that he minded rain at all, no he loved it. Thunder sounded off in the distance and lightning crackled in the sky. Blair sat on the grass and looked up in the sky. He ate his muffin slowly and simply sat there. He finished his muffin and started on his apple, and that was when it began to rain. Blair didn’t move, he simply sat there and let it rain.
The rain was warm compared to the slightly chilly morning air. He sat and ate and watched the rain drop. It was only a mist of rain but then it turned into thick droplets. And within thirty seconds Blair was completely wet. He couldn’t do anything now he was completely soaked. He looked down at his notebook and sighed. It was a good thing he had a photographic memory otherwise he would’ve been completely screwed. He looked down at himself and forgot that he was wearing a white long sleeved shirt. Well now it wasn’t so white anymore, it was transparent. His muscles were outlined; his WHOLE upper body was outlined. It showed his six-pack. He could feel his clothes stick to him like a second skin. “ Oh well…” he murmured. But that was before he heard some wolf whistle.
Turning he saw that some of the legacies were in the haven of academy roof. Some of the Nouveaus were also stopping to stare and point at him. He really didn’t care, so he just sat and dared them all to look and deep in his mind he was calling out for help… Although he was used to being in a spotlight, it doesn’t mean he liked being under it. He cursed himself silently for this act of stupidity. Finally making up his mind he thought, “ Well, if they want to look, I may as well give them a show. Or not really much of a show.” And so he laid down, arms behind his head and let the rain soak him more. The rain felt good and he knew classes weren’t about to start yet. He had atleast two hours before any of his classes started. However, Blair wished that someone would talk to brave the rain and talk to him. He was getting bored of his own thoughts. Everyone, however, knew that he hardly thought. But hey! Who knew suck a geek had a body right?
Last night... had been awesome. Even though it made getting up this morning even worse she regretted nothing about it. Luckily she didn't get hang overs or she'd be dead at the moment. Though she forgot about taking her make up and taking her hair out and changing so that kinda off set everything, her eyelashes were sticking together, she could feel her eyeliner and mascara flaking and getting in her eyes and her face felt like a mask she had so much powder foundation on. Usually she wore liquid foundation and only a sheer cover because her skin was basically flawless the rest of the time but it made her look less pale and got rid of the light freckles that dotted her nose and cheekbones. But last night, stupidly, she had put on a thick coat of heavy coverage powder foundation and forgot to take it off when she had got back to the dorm at 3am. Her green eyeshadow felt slick and a bit slimy when she opened her eyes finally, and she had to blink rapidly when the dry mascara flaked and got in her eyes making her a bit teary. Okay, not taking her make up off had been stupid, she would admit that much but still, she regretted nothing about last night because it had been epic.
She tossed her thick duvet cover off the rest of the way and swung her legs out of bed before walking over to her laptop and hooking it up to her iPod speakers then turning on 'A.O.K' by Motion City Soundtrack simply because it was at the top of her list. He moved to her bathroom next, instantly reaching for her make up remover and make up pads. She had put on so much make up she went through like 12 pads just to get all the goop around her eyes off. Well at least it had looked good last night and that was all the mattered. She strung her black hair up in a messy pony tail next, hating that she couldn't run her fingers through it because it was so tangled but ignoring it since she planned on having a shower after she got her make up off. She took off her foundation next with some sort of special face wash she had brought with her so much the writing on the front had been worn away.
Finally, free of all that ickyness she looked at her complexion and man did she look rough... Even though she skin was still flawless, amazingly after all that make up, there was a hint of dark circles under her eyes. No, couldn't have that now could we? Well that was where the wonders of make up comes in now doesn't it?
She sighed and let her hair down before stripping turning on the shower. She stood there for a moment, leaning her forehead against the wall with one hand in the shower as she waited for it to warm up, listening to the music blaring in the background and thinking for a moment that it might be pissing off the girl next door but the thought was gone faster then it had come. Really, those girls should be up by now anyways right? Right, and with that thought she stepped into the steaming hot shower, letting the scolding water turn her skin red on contact for a moment before finally adding some cold water to make it more bearable. She loved her shower, it wasn't some shitty half bath half shower one, no, she had a stand up full glass shower custom made for her bathroom. It was pretty sweet then on top of that she had her 'rainforest' shower head which wasted a lot of water but god it felt good...
She sighed contently as she went through the motions of washing her hair and washing her face then just standing there for a moment, eyes closed and holding her breath as she turned her face to the shower head. She loved the shower, it was one of the few reasons she got up in the morning. Screw school, she lived for her shower.
But after almost a half an hour of just standing in the hot shower she decided that she might actually need to do her hair and make up still so she walked out of the shower and pulled a towel off the rack and wrapped it tightly around her, then opening her bathroom door to let out all the steam. She went through the motions after that of getting dressed, walking over to her dresser. She pulled on black underwear and a black push up bra just because she liked people staring. Next she pulled out a black strapless dress with green vine patterns and pulled it up, adjusting it easily so it flowed easily around her long legs. She smiled thinly and twirled gracefully then glided towards the bathroom to do her make up and hair, towel drying her hair as she moved then dropping her towel in the hamper beside her bathroom and walking to the bathroom mirror. She put on her moisturizer and liquid foundation then lined her eyes with black eyeliner, mixed some black tempra paint and some ugly green lip gloss in a small container then smeared it over her eye lids and a bit under her eyes then proceeded to mix shades of green, black and silver eyeshadow over that once it was dried giving it a thick, glossy look that made her stand out but in a good way.
Mascara, a bit of shimmer on her cheeks, gloss on her lips then that was it for her make up. Next came the hair and this was usually her favorite part about her morning routine next to her shower. He studied her appearance in the mirror for a moment then took the elastic bands around her wrist and began pulling her hair up in different sections then it all up in a pony tail before pulling out strands to frame her face. Lastly she dropped a silver heart necklace around her neck and pursed her lips to make sure she looked good. It was rather dressed down compared to what she usually wore but you know, whatever, it was school not a night club. She walked out of the bathroom and sighed, feeling the bass from her speakers vibrating through her. Man it felt weird but also kinda cool. She walked over and turned off the music, grabbed her iPhone, laptop, wallet and car keys for just in case she decided to go out for lunch or take off half way through school. She grabbed her favorite Louis Vuitton LV Mahina XX bag and shoved everything inside then slung it over her shoulder and grabbed a black umbrella, pulled on her black shoes with a small heel then headed out, listening to the automatic lock whirl behind her as she closed her door.
She moved easily out of the building, bounding down the steps as she pulled her iPhone out of her bag and opened up her contact list, immediately selecting Desi and beginning to type out a text. 'Hey I'm gonna get something to eat in the Caf but it's probably infested with the little Nouveaus so I'm gonna eat at the courtyard if you want to join me before classes ^^' she wrote out with practiced speed then flipped the phone back the other way and pressed send. She walked out the front door along with some other girl who was a Legacy but Vivian had never cared enough about to get to know her. She flipped open her umbrella to the cloudy sky outside and started her walk there, drawn to the school by the promise of food and coffee. Sure she had like 2 hours till the first bell but she liked to socialize to and that took more time then eating.
But the worst thing happened and just as she was grabbing a muffin someone tapped on her shoulder and she turned around to find some Nouveau boy looking down at his feet sheepishly. Instead of snapping at him like she usually would she simply turned on her heel, gathered the rest of her food and exited before she did snap at someone. She was getting better. She was going from openly insulting the Nouveas to just ignoring them and acting like they didn't exist. She walked out of the school and flipped open her umbrella before she left the shelter of the overhang and started down the stairs to the courtyard, smiling at the other Legacies fleeing from the rain and simply ignoring the little Nouveaus. She noticed one Legacy who wasn't fleeing and headed his way. She couldn't help herself and her eyes did a quick sweep of his form as she glided over. "Hey sexy" she purred as she moved to stand beside him, shielding him with her umbrella as well.

Okay although he was getting bored with his own thoughts, he had nothing else to do but think so apparently everyone was scared of the rain; it was as if they were going to melt or something. God, people these days right? His thoughts slowly began to run towards his grandfather and he almost groaned. Although his grandfather and himself had a good relationship it was the big bombshell that he recently discovered, that his grandfather was actually gay. Okay, don’t get him wrong he really didn’t care what kind of people his grandfather associated himself with; it was the fact of how he discovered it. He had accidentally walked in on his grandfather and his lover having sex. And it was a sight he would have liked to have never seen. He never truly did wander towards his one sex, but sometimes he did wander what it would feel like. Oh he played his own fair share of men into getting his way but he never had a male lover. Blair prided into keeping his business his own. Some of his friends however were bi and he didn’t mind. He really didn’t care of their sexuality as long as they never talked about him.
Slowly his thoughts began to drift about other things like his parents. He remembered them quite well actually. He remembered that he had his mother’s sapphire blue eyes and his father’s his actually large body frame. His body frame usually deceived mostly everyone but it seemed so delicate. However, one touch and you could tell it’s quite the opposite. Hidden he was in large garments that never showed off his body. Unlike some of the Nouveaus who tended to wear too tight of clothing that utterly outlined their body. Blair would have but he hated being looked at. Since he had the money most of the women usually go after it, and that’s what he hated the most. Since he hanged out with the legacies no one panted after him like some ordinary women. A sigh circulated through his lips and he kept looking up at the sky. It still looked as gloomy as he felt. He somehow felt that something was missing.
Perhaps it was the lack of social skills? But he had plenty… only in a dark lit room where no one would know who he was. He knew no one ever saw him smile except for Vivian, Desi and Deo and if he did smile it was rare. He only talked to the legacies and sometimes Chase, and if he did talk it would be a miracle if it were more that three sentences. Like his grandfather had taught him, he was always to keep his expression and emotion firmly emotionless as possible. Sometimes he got tired of the rule, but whatever, his life right? With his eyes closed he almost fell asleep, until that is the rain suddenly stopped and the wind blew cold air onto him. He shivered and opened his eyes only to meet it with Vivian’s own blue eyes. His dark blue eyes showed relief that it wasn’t some pestering nouveau. And Vivian’s comment made his day, giving Viv, one of his rare smiles. Usually his smiles were gone as fast as he had placed them on his face but this time it remained firmly in place and an actual chuckle escaped his lips.
Maybe he was getting sick. He NEVER laughed. “ Ah, and to you too gorgeous.” he replied warmly welcoming her. “ I’m glad someone braved the rain… you look beautiful as usual Viv.” he commented winking and stayed where he was. From this angle he hoped no one could see him smile or heard him laugh, goodness gracious what they’ll think of him. “ I would hug you as a relief to see such a beautiful face, but you’d probably chew me out if I got you wet. So anyways, how was your night? Anything exciting happen?” he asked conversationally.

((yours will put this one to shame, I have no muse >.>))
It was kind of strange that the rain had suddenly stopped when she was half way across the grounds to the tree Blair had positioned himself under. Maybe she was just that amazing but who knew, she lowered her umbrella and twirled it to rid it of the rain then pulled it closed and draped the wood handle over her arm like an old style cane. She looked rather out of place as she walked towards the soaked boy, not a hair out of place, make up flawless and not a drop of water on her. Everyone else in the courtyard was soaked, course everyone else out here was either a guy or a nouveau who really didn't care about their appearances, how sad... They didn't deserve to be here, how could the board allow outsiders into their school. Sure a few were acceptable but they seemed to be dropping in the ranks in her mind. She hadn't thought badly of Chase because of his mother but now, he was almost lower then everyone else in the school.
She skipped to a stop beside her friend, lips turned up in an actual smile, not the fake ones she usually wore, and bent at the waist so she was almost eye to eye with him. She had always enjoyed being around him, ever since Deo and Desi had brought him into their group, he was hot and he knew how to make a girl feel beautiful. Okay so she knew she was stunning but really, it was good to hear it every so often. “Ah, and to you too gorgeous.” he replied and she simply beamed at him. "You were always good at making people feel welcome" she said with a light chuckle as she studied his features.
“I’m glad someone braved the rain… you look beautiful as usual Viv.” he complimented and she straightened, striking a pose as if the paparazzi were going to come out of nowhere and start snapping pictures of her. Then she returned to a relaxed position, one hand on her hip and the other hanging, fingers brushing against the fabric of her dress. “I would hug you as a relief to see such a beautiful face, but you’d probably chew me out if I got you wet. So anyways, how was your night? Anything exciting happen?” he asked and she chuckled, flapping her hand then leaning down to plant a light kiss on his cheek. ”You know me too well my love” she purred before standing once more and turning so he back rested against the tree he was sitting under, looking off into the distance thoughtfully. ”I went to an awesome party last night in Long Beach. My head still hurts but it was so worth it.” she said wistfully then looked down at him and tilted her head curiously. She blinked a few times as if confused then frowned and shrugged. ”I saw you’re your name on the list, why didn’t you show? It’s never as much fun without my friends you know” she said.

((So sorry, I'm running out of muse XD))
Blair grinned and gave Viv a wink when she had said, " "You were always good at making people feel welcome." He simply shrugged, sat up and leaned against the tree. " I have to be in my line of business... its expected of me. After all I'm the sole heir to my father's entire estate. Now imagine if I wasn't good at making people feel welcome... the business would skyrocket down and we'd lose billions." he replied readily tilting his head to the side and watched a nouveau watching them with quite an intent it almost made him laugh. Turning his warm gaze to Viv when she said, ”You know me too well my love” and this time he laughed and winked at her. " Well wouldn't it be ungentlemanly of me if I didn't know you. If I didn't then I would have probably been dead along time ago. And then again, you are my friend. One of the best." he added warmly.
”I went to an awesome party last night in Long Beach. My head still hurts but it was so worth it.” she said and he was about to comment when she suddenly had this curious look on her face that had him thining, " Uh-oh." He watched as she simply blinked a few times then shrugged her shoulder and then say, ”I saw you’re your name on the list, why didn’t you show? It’s never as much fun without my friends you know.” The many things that he loved about Viv was that she never pushed him for any answers to her she may have wanted to know. She gave him that option to do that himself. It was thing he hated amongst other people is when they pushed him to answer something he may not want to answer. It annoyed the hell out of him... teachers were the worst at most times, but luckily then only ask things that involve the class they were teaching.
Although there were some teachers that decided to ask him some things that were none of their businesses and he simply snapped. Not a really good thing, but hey whatever. Teachers should not put their noses somewhere where they don't belong... otherwise it might just get chopped off... permanently. It wasn't like he beat the teacher up, he just told him him to mind his own business, in a very too soft a voice. It worked because they never asked him anything out of class subject again. The teachers weren't the only ones. At most times, the girls he were with always nagged him for things. In the group that he hanged out with Viv and the others, he was usually nagged, but as always the nagger was always shut down... sometimes harshly or gently. Depending on his mood really.
Turning his attention back to Viv he smiled. " Ah well, was I? I think I did get the invitation but hey I was occupied at the moment. If you called me I would have went. Didn't Deo or Desi go with you? Or any of the other legacies?" he asked. Looking around he still noticed the girl from ealier that had been staring at them. Frowning he watched her and he saw that every now and then she would look at him. " When did it start? I was with a lady friend from around five to nine at night." he said thoughtfully keeping his gaze on the woman. He chuckled softly under his breath and looked at Viv with glimmering mischievous eyes. " My dear, it looks like I attracted an admirer. I'm quite flattered, if I do say so myself." he added softly. Inspecting his surroundings he saw he attracted a few actually... and so did Viv. She always did. She was after all very beautiful so why not indeed.

"I have to be in my line of business... its expected of me. After all I'm the sole heir to my father's entire estate. Now imagine if I wasn't good at making people feel welcome... the business would skyrocket down and we'd lose billions." Blair said and Vivian arched an eyebrow curiously at him, giving him a skeptical look. He had to be kidding right? Whole companies could run on a face alone and with one like his she had a feeling that his company would do just fine. Course she didn’t say this, she had never been one to reassure anyone, simply smiled back at him and chuckled, nodding slightly. "Well wouldn't it be ungentlemanly of me if I didn't know you. If I didn't then I would have probably been dead along time ago. And then again, you are my friend. One of the best." he said and at this she smirked and shook her head, hair falling elegantly forward. He sounded kinda like a stalker there, as if he followed her around to find out more about her. And this she wansn’t afraid to voice. ”You sound like a stalker Blair” she said with a grin before leaning back again and tilting her head back to it also rested against the tree.
He started to mull over the question a lot longer then need be; turning the words over inside his brain as if her question had been really hard. It wasn’t though, it was just a simple question that could have easily been answered with a shrug and a sly wink, that was the answer she was used to getting from her brother. But instead of pushing him to give her an answer she simply let him take his own time and think over the question. She was patient enough. Course it didn’t take him that long, as patient as she was she dd still have her limitations… "Ah well, was I? I think I did get the invitation but hey I was occupied at the moment. If you called me I would have went. Didn't Deo or Desi go with you? Or any of the other legacies?" he asked and she frowned a bit at the mention of her twin brother. It was her turn to think for a bit, not sure how to answer, they both knew about Deo’s darker mood as of late… ”Didn’t want to bother you, and Desi had a project due today that she’s been putting off… And Deo…” she said, trailing off for a moment, allowing him to draw his own conclusions. ”As for the other legacies? Kelly was there but with others, Jacob’s been strange and everyone else I barely know…” she said with an almost depressed sigh. Though it had been a blast last night she would have probably had more fun with some familiar faces around. Well the people she had met had made up for the fact that her friends weren’t there but... She still stood by her statement.
"When did it start? I was with a lady friend from around five to nine at night." he said and she looked back down at him only to find him looking at some other girl, suddenly making a pang of annoyance shoot through her. It wasn’t that she was jealous but it annoyed her that he was paying attention to someone else while taking to her, never mind it was a Nouveau… But she pushed it away and thought back to thoughts of last night. ”Eight at night until like 6am at the latest I think. Course I left at around4, hard to get at least two hours of sleep” she replied like the true party girl she was, the slightest of smiles tracing her thin lips. He was still watching the girl but after a moment he did do the smart thing and look back at her with an almost mischievous look.
They met each other’s gazes for one a moment, silence passing between them as Vivian tried to send him mental signals that she didn’t want to even acknowledge that the Nouveau’s existed. She had already held back for ripping one’s head off and she really didn’t want to deal with another. Course he had never been a good mind reader, that only ever seemed to work with Deo… "My dear, it looks like I attracted an admirer. I'm quite flattered, if I do say so myself." he said and she looked away, not fast enough for him to miss her rolling her eyes but fast enough so that he didn’t see the snarl that seemed to be working it’s way onto her features. She hated them, and though she had never told anyone that she hated people even mentioning the Nouveaus. But when she looked back so her features were in vies her expression was no different then the cheerful one she had worn when coming over to greet her. She refused to comment on that subject so just kept her lips closed.
Legacy - Wealthy, stunning, comes from well known families and have parents who attended Spence for all four years of their collage year and moved on to do great things. They have ruled the school forever and are definably not thrilled about 'Nouveaus' taking over their school. They are the ones who started the term Nouveau and use it as an insult to the new students. These students are usually the ones who don't have to work hard for their grades and are naturally smart. They are the ones you'll see curing cancer or finding a solution to world hunger. They look down at the Nouveaus and usually just ignore them and hope they go away or openly mock and despise them.
Nouveau - Comes from any class really, these are the students who's parents didn't go to Spence and aren't basically bred to be amazing. They can come from the same world as the Legacies, be just as rich but still the Legacies will forever look down on them. These students are still smart because only the truly amazing students get into Spence. The term Nouveau is not one these students would use because it is what the Legacies labeled them as and it's used as an insult. As much as they seem to hate the Legacies in return they just want to be accepted. Even though are larger in numbers they had absolutely no standing in the school.
11•16•2008 Okay so other then having a new character and member of the moment there isn't much to report. Viv and I have been brainstorming some contests to come like fan fiction contests or maybe art, who knows. We'll get around to those but until then keep up the good work guys, please advertise and keep inviting new members to join us!
her bio thread of interest Vivian never ceases to amaze me, she's one of the best examples of a legacy and I always enjoy reading her threads.
his bio thread of interest Desmond has been here almost every day since joining Spence. She is a pleasure to be around and seemed to have made friends with everyone. So she can have the spotlight on her for a bit, plus you should check out her thread with Vivian, it's rather amusing XD.
